Construction is finally coming to an end. The hospital will be inspected by the appropriate Veterinary Association and will be opening in a few weeks.
If you wish to be a client of the hospital please complete a Client Application Form on this website. We are currently reviewing the applications and will be contacting clients to book appointments.

The support from you all on here has been so appreciated these past few weeks. We want to keep you updated, so we are very excited to be able to share another construction update with you all. The interior of the clinic is coming together quickly now! Check out what our clinic entrance & treatment area looks like as of yesterday. On the back end, our website is also still under construction. Hoping to share this with you all soon.
There has been a lot of thought put into the design of this clinic. From corner to corner, you and your pets have been top of mind as decisions have been made along the way. Share in the comments – what brings your pet comfort & joy?
We also have some updates for you. We are disappointed to say that we’ve had some setbacks in construction that are pushing back the clinic opening. The good news is that we have some great people working hard on moving construction along and are still hoping to open this Summer. We want nothing more than to open up soon as possible, and to be there for you and your pets, but we want to ensure that the clinic is as great as we planned and imagined it would be.
Attached are some photos of the clinic as of June 1st, 2023 (along with an inspiration picture for the front exterior). Things are looking good! The roof is almost finished, with electricity & plumbing just waiting on inspection. The siding is going up very soon along with the drywall inside! We will continue to update you all as we have new developments with construction.
To start, we wanted to thank you all for the kind words and constant support over these past few months. It is all so appreciated. A main priority of Island Veterinary Hospital is to be an active member of the community, and it feels incredible to be welcomed with open arms.
Now, we owe you all an update! It has been a very busy time as we complete the transformation of this building into the Island Veterinary Hospital – giving it a brand new life. So much thought has been put into the design of the clinic in an attempt to make it as patient and client-focused as possible. We are excited to share with you the current floor plan, along with some progress pictures from the very beginning of this journey to this month!
There has been a couple bumps along the road of construction but we are hoping to have the clinic ready to open in June 2023 – keep an eye out for a post on new client applications.
